Golf update from The Clubhouse at Sugarbush Resort

WARREN, Vt. – We are proud to announce that Sugarbush’s Aidan Melville has been selected to play on the Vermont Team for the New England Junior Amateur Championship. The championship is being held at Manchester Country Club Aug. 14-16.

Our PGA Professional Roger King has moved into third place in the Vermont PGA Player of the Year race after a pair of second place finishes and a fourth place finish.  If you are interested in playing in a Pro-Am with Roger, call the pro shop to ask about availability.

Next week from Aug. 15-18 is the final week of the Junior Golf Camp this summer. This is a four-day golf camp that introduces kids to golf, instruction, course knowledge, rules, games and more, taught by PGA Head Golf Professional Roger King and PGA Intern Jordan Blais. There is lunch and a gift included. For more information, contact the golf shop.

Club Championship weekend is fast approaching so call the pro shop before the sign up deadline. The Club Championship is being held Aug. 26-27 and there is a men’s championship flight, first flight, women’s flight, gross and net, and a junior flight (for those under 18). We look forward to a fun and competitive weekend.

Sign ups are available for the 14th Annual Charity Golf Tournament for Vermont Troops and Families. The tournament will be held on Sunday, Sept. 17, and will be a 10 a.m. shotgun start. The format is a scramble and the entry fee includes golf, cart, prizes, and dinner at the Common Man following the event. To sign up, contact Shawn Sullivan at

Also in September, we will be hosting the Vermont Cancer Survivor Network Fundraiser Golf Tournament. It is being held on Sunday, Sept. 24, and will be a 10 a.m. shotgun start. The cost covers greens fee, cart, range balls, boxed lunch, prizes and contests. All proceeds benefit the Vermont Cancer Survivor Network.
