WESTMINSTER, Vt. – Sixteen Kurn Hattin children have been selected to perform in the Vermont District VI Middle School Chorus. The children were required to audition and were selected to join the chorus based on their high scores. This is an exciting opportunity for the young vocalists and a great accomplishment!
There are 22 schools that will be participating in the Vermont District Chorus, and the Kurn Hattin students will be making up 25 percent of the choir. Sopranos selected were Nadia Taylor (Keene, N.H.), Noelani Lowe (Pawtucket, R.I.), Catrina Greene (Springfield, Vt.), Tia Willis-Cooper (Bellows Falls, Vt.), and Alyssa Keefe (Bellows Falls, Vt.). Altos selected were Lilliana Butler (Bellows Falls, Vt.), Antoinette Reyes (Cambria Heights, N.Y.), Ayden Smith (Springfield, Vt.), Darren Stanley (Hartford, Vt.), and Dreyvin Hoskison (Keene, N.H). Basses that were selected were Jacob Edwards (New York, N.Y.), Zachary Corban (Swanzey, N.H.), Korbin Jones-McDougal (Keene, N.H.), Nicholas Passos (Dracut, Mass.), Kevin Patterson (Putney, Vt.), and Robert Cann (Rutland, Vt.).
The festival will take place on Nov. 17 and 18 at Hartford High School in White River Junction, Vt. The Kurn Hattin children will be performing in the choir on Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. Doors are open to the public, so come on over to see the Vermont District VI Middle School Chorus in concert!
