FMRHS and BFUHS April students of the month

LANGDON, N.H./BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – The Bellows Falls Elks, Fall Mountain Regional High School, and Bellows Falls Union High School have selected Autumn Cummings of Charlestown, N.H. and Nic Potter of Rockingham as the April students of the month.

Autumn Cummings

Sophomore Autumn Cummings has been selected as the Student of the Month for April at Fall Mountain Regional High School, Langdon, N.H. Autumn is the wonderful and energetic daughter of Dawn Cummings of Charlestown, N.H. and the granddaughter of Steven and Inge Cummings of North Walpole, N.H.

Autumn is described as hardworking with an eye for great detail, always asking for feedback and constructive criticism on current projects. She considers how these projects could affect her in the future and puts the instructor’s feedback into a plan of action. She is very polite, and she will always strive to put forth her best academic work whether it is school projects, homework assignments, or sports. Autumn is an honor roll student and she loves to help others. This past season, she played on the Fall Mountain basketball team. She also plays on a local champion caliber AAU basketball team.

After high school, Autumn plans to attend college for cosmetology or interior design.

Nicolas Potter is a senior at Bellows Falls Union High School. Nic is the son of Jack and Lori Potter of Rockingham.

An active learner, Nic comes to school every day with a desire to learn and improve his skills. He is a member of the BFUHS Marilee Huntoon and Jeese A. Judd Chapter of the National Honor Society; he excels academically, contributes to class discussions, and is extremely patient, kind, and helpful to the other students in his classes. Nic is someone people can count on to offer assistance without being asked. He is responsible and conscientious and shows respect and kindness towards everyone he meets.

As a young man with exceptional character, Nic sets a great example for other students by modeling exemplary manners and excellent behavior in his quiet and well-mannered way. He is polite, dependable, and devoted to finding a way to use his considerable talents to give back to his community, country, and the world. He is a positive addition to any class or group he joins.

Not only does Nic serve as a role model through his academics, but he is active in extracurricular activities as well. He is an avid swimmer and runner, and has an interest in the martial arts. After graduation he plans to serve his country as a member of the Unites States Marines.

Congratulations to Autumn and Nic for representing their high schools and Bellows Falls Elks with this award.
