WALPOLE, N.H. – Verna Rose Mack, 87, a longtime resident of Walpole, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017. Verna was born in Chester, Vt on July 6, 1930, the daughter of Vernard and Bertha (Bodah) Winot. She was a graduate of Chester High School and worked at McGirrs Nursing Home for over 30 years. She loved her family, gardening, cooking, and baking. Anyone who knew her, and was lucky enough to sample them, said she made the best homemade donuts in town.
On Aug. 3, 1947 she married Donald Mack, Sr. who predeceased her. Surviving are her sons Donald Mack, Jr., Michael Mack, and Christopher Mack all of Walpole, N.H.; her daughters Brenda Pierce of Springfield, Vt. and Cindy Wendel of Chester, Vt.; her brothers Dwight Davis of New York, Randy Davis of Massachusetts, Paul Winot of Florida, and Erwin Winot of Vt.; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
