Richard was always known as a hard worker. Since he was 14 years old, there was never a day that went by that he wasn’t working. Richard graduated from Fair Haven Union High School class of ’85. From there he started his own business called LaFayette Builders, which was a construction company. Richard used to build houses, move them, and set foundations. In 2015 he started working at Springfield Paving Monday through Saturday, and on Sunday he worked for himself. Even though Richard was a workaholic, he always found time to spend with his children and family, from late fishing trips, movie nights, cookouts, and late night four wheeling rides.
