GRAFTON, Vt. – Bernard G. Record, 77, of Record Lane died Tuesday, June 28, 2016 surrounded by his family. Bernie was born in Springfield, VT on November 13, 1938 the son of Gordon and Elvi (Fossi) Record. He worked as a mason tender, and for Lane Construction. He was a self-employed Mason for many years and also self-employed in Logging and Trucking. Bernie served in the National Guard and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Bellows Falls. He loved family and telling stories. He also enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, workhorses, NASCAR, and 4×4 Jeeping.
On November 29, 1958 in Grafton, VT he married Ann Fisher who survives. Also surviving are his Sons Rodney Record & wife Kim and Russell Record & wife Lisa of Grafton; his daughter Roxane Carlson & husband Peter of West Townshend; his brother Robert Record of Chester, VT; his sister Sylvia Fletcher of Chester, VT; his grandchildren Kristine Gagnon, Kerrie Record, Kyle Record, Jaclyn Kruse, Jared Carlson, Jason Carlson, Colby Record, and Maya Record; his great grandchildren Brayden and Grayson Kruse and Alexis Gagnon; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Shirley Fletcher and granddaughter Brittany Record.
There will be calling hours 7 – 9 p.m. on Friday, July 15 at the Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls, VT. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 16 at the White Church in Grafton, VT, officiated by his son in law Pete Carlson. Burial will follow the service in the Houghtonville Cemetery.
