SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Alexander Michael Levlocke, 52, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 10, 1964 in Springfield, Vermont the son of Nicholas and Jacquiline (Walker) Levlocke.
He graduated from Springfield High School and went on to attend Champlain College in Burlington, Vt. and Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. earning a degree in Marketing.
After returning home to Vermont, Alec helped manage a family rental property business and became a popular bartender at several Okemo Mountain area restaurants, including Willy Dunns and The Loft.
Alec enjoyed lawn and garden work, playing cribbage by the water while sharing his knowledge of Vermont history and architecture. Most of all he enjoyed hiking and boating with his beloved golden retrievers on the Connecticut River where he made his home.
He is survived by his mother Jacquiline of Springfield, two brothers; Thomas Levlocke of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Nicholas Levlocke III and his wife Kimberly of Springfield. Two surviving Aunts; Mary Vittum of Walpole, N.H. and Joyce Hanley of Lebanon, N.H. and numerous cousins. His father predeceased him in 1988.
A funeral service will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield, Vermont. Reverend Peter Carmichael will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Springfield.
