LUDLOW, Vt. – The Ludlow Rotary Club hosted its 28 annual ski weekend for international exchange students from our district, as well as two additional rotary districts in Massachusetts and Connecticut. With the generous support of Okemo Mountain Resort, this event brings students together from all over the world for a weekend of fun on the mountain. The students, who are in the United States for a full high school year, spent the weekend in the homes of local Rotarians and community volunteers. Students who have never tried skiing or snowboarding before were given lessons and those who were more experienced were able to get up on the mountain and enjoy the great conditions on the slopes. Saturday night, the students enjoyed a dance along with members of the Black River High School interact club and ended the weekend with ice skating at Jackson Gore’s Ice House on Sunday.

The Ludlow Rotary Club is celebrating its 90 birthday this year and celebrates the spirit of international goodwill and understanding that is experienced by all of the participants in this event. We wish to thank Okemo Mountain Resort, the town of Ludlow, Big Eyes Bakery, MC Sounds and all of the volunteers who made this year’s event such a success.
