LUDLOW, Vt. – The Ludlow Garden Club will celebrate its 75th birthday on Thursday, Sept. 8. The club was founded in 1941 with the purpose of promoting gardening, nature, conservation, and the improvement and beautification of Ludlow. The original members had a vision for the future of Ludlow, which remains the guide for the Club to this day.

Present members can be seen, sporting green aprons, planting and watering the many attractive floral displays throughout town. Members also: improve and maintain the plantings at Kesman Park as well as provide and decorate the Christmas tree there; assist in sprucing up the property at the Black River Academy Museum; provided a new perennial garden at the Fletcher Memorial Library this spring, with funding from the Okemo Community Challenge.

Please, join the Clun on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 1 p.m. at Kesman Park (next to the Town Hall) for a celebratory piece of birthday cake.

For further information call 802-228-2983.
