LONDONDERRY, Vt. – The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Vermont (NAMI VT) “In Our Own Voice” presentation will be offered free of charge to all community members and interested participants. Taking place at Neighborhood Connections on April 17, 2018 at 5:30 p.m., audience members can expect to learn about living with a mental health condition, gain a new perspective of those with a mental health condition, and learn about what NAMI Vermont offers to your community.
NAMI “In Our Own Voice” is a 60-90 minute public education presentation that raises the awareness of mental illness and recovery. It includes a short video, personal testimony, and a Q&A that allows for honest and open dialogue. Presenters engage audiences with their brave and gripping personal journeys as they touch on the various phases of recovery including Dark Days, Acceptance, Treatment, Coping Skills, Successes, Hopes, and Dreams.
