BROWNSVILLE, Vt. – American Heritage Girls & Trail Life USA for boys help youth to acquire skills that will assist them in all areas of life while combining character, leadership & friendship building with outdoor adventure.
Surrounding area families have discovered a new scouting program for their daughters & sons called American Heritage Girls (AHG) and Trail Life USA (TLUSA) for boys. AHG & TLUSA are faith-based character development programs for girls & boys ages 5 to 18, dedicated to the mission of building women and men of integrity through service to God, family, community and country.
The second-in-Vermont American Heritage Girls and second-in-Vermont Trail Life USA for boys will be hosting an informational meeting about AHG & TLUSA on May 20 beginning at 4 p.m. with activities followed by a barbecue at 6 p.m. at the Brownsville Community Church, West Windsor (Brownsville), VT.
With programming that puts an emphasis on service, faith and fun, girls and boys choose from more than 200 Badges, participate in service projects, and are challenged by leadership opportunities and outdoor experiences. Troops are led by Adult Volunteers who facilitate the AHG/TLUSA Programs while encouraging Girl & Boy Leadership. Organizations like churches, schools and civic organizations charter AHG & TLUSA Troops to achieve their youth ministry goals.
“Now more than ever, families are seeking faith-based activities for their daughters & sons to complement their values and instill leadership and servant hearts through service to their community,” says Patti Garibay, American Heritage Girls Executive Director and Founder.
