LONDONDERRY, Vt. – The Windham County Extension Master Gardeners are once again sponsoring a Fall Gardening series which starts Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. at the Meeting Place at Neighborhood Connections. On Oct. 3, Daryle Thomas, a Rutland County Extension master gardener will discuss the make up of soil and how to determine the type of soil in your garden.
On Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. Somara Zwick, a master gardener from Windham County, will talk about retiring your garden for the winter. Her community forum format encourages all to share their favorite methods. On Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m., Rick White from the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation will discuss basic pruning methods of ornamental trees and shrubs.
These lectures are offered at no charge, but please call 802-824-4343 to register. The Meeting Place at Neighborhood Connections is located in Londonderry’s Mountain Marketplace, next to the Londonderry post office.
