KEENE, N.H. – Interested in attracting wildlife to your backyard or installing a pollinator meadow or garden? Having trouble managing invasive plants on your property? Want to be a steward of your land or simply need advice? Join the Cheshire County Conservation District, in partnership with Ecologist Jeff Littleton of Moosewood Ecological LLC, for their workshop – From the Birds to the Bees: Landscaping with Native Plants for Wildlife. Hosted at Stonewall Farm in Keene, N.H. on Friday, Feb. 23 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
From the Birds to the Bees: Landscaping with Native Plants for Wildlife dives into the ins and outs of ecological landscape design. From the basics of site planning to site preparation and native seed/plant selection, we’ll explore a plethora of ways in which you can enhance your outdoor property to attract a variety of wildlife including birds and bees, among other wildlife, pollinators, and beneficial insects.
This is not a one-size-fits-all workshop! We will explore many landscapes from city lots to rural properties and guests are encouraged to come with questions and ideas specific to their own properties to help make for a lively and interactive workshop in which we can learn from and support one another. This is a free workshop; however, donations help support our operations and programming. Please RSVP early so that we may have an accurate headcount.
