WINDSOR, Vt. – Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center is pleased to announce that pediatricians Dr. Michael Kilcullen and Dr. Patricia Staley of Ottauquechee Health Center (OHC) in Woodstock, Vt. will be recognized at a special event on the playground of the Woodstock Elementary School on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 2-4 p.m. The event is open to the public and is an opportunity to commemorate the successful career of Dr. Kilcullen and welcome Dr. Staley to the area. Attendees will be able to speak with the doctors and hear brief opening remarks from Joseph Perras, M.D., president, CEO, and chief medical officer of Mt. Ascutney Hospital. Refreshments will be served.
Dr. Kilcullen has served on the Mt. Ascutney Hospital staff since 1979 and provided local young people with pediatric medical care for more than 30 years until his retirement in June 2017. From 1983 to 1997, Dr. Kilcullen also served as Medical Director at OHC. He continues to share his expertise as an assistant professor at Dartmouth Medical School, where he teaches pediatrics and community/family medicine.
Dr. Staley, a resident of Barnard, Vt., is a board-certified pediatrician who earned her medical degree from the Penn State Hershey College of Medicine, and completed her pediatrics residency at UCLA, including participation in their child health and advocacy track. Following her residency, Dr. Staley spent three years working with the Indian Health Service on the Navajo Reservation in Chinle, Ariz. before moving to Santa Fe, N.M. where she provided both outpatient and inpatient pediatric care at Christus St. Vincent Medical Center. She works with pediatric patients of all ages, striving to effectively collaborate with families and community resources to help children thrive.
