SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – For the second year, Tina’s Hallmark, located in the Springfield Shopping Plaza, celebrated healthcare appreciation week. From Oct. 19 to Oct. 26, the store held a raffle for any healthcare professionals who came to the store and signed up. Upon signing up, they were also given a coupon for their next visit to the store. Tina’s stayed open late on Oct. 24 and 25 to accommodate professionals with late shifts.

Area businesses contributed 64 different prizes for the drawing, which took place on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. The professionals were not required to be present at the drawing, but the first 40 people who arrived also received appreciation bags with donated samples and coupons from other local businesses. Refreshments were served and the drawing commenced, raffling off lots of goodies, including the big prize of the night: a large stuffed penguin.

At the end of the night, owner Tina Vittum handed out garden flags to attendees. “No one went away without something,” she said.

Vittum extends her gratitude to the area businesses that participated in the second annual Healthcare Appreciation, making this year a success.
