Fitness boot camp to host health fair in support of local animal shelter
September 1 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
WESTMINSTER, Vt. – Fit Body Boot Camp owner Lisa Dumont will be hosting a health fair on Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 5983 Route 5, Westminster. There will be vendors in attendance, workouts from 9-11 a.m., a health eatery, and much more—all in support of the Windham County Humane Society.
Plenty of festivities are expected at the event, including mini fat-burning workout sessions for anyone who donates to the animal shelter during the day. These workouts will showcase all that Westminster FBBC has to offer.
There will also be a number of local health-related vendors present at the event. Among these: Ted’s Shoes & Sport with pressure point testing, Hill Top Kennel, Cindy Stewart on muscular therapy, Heather Smith with massage, Sheila Tsitsonis doing young living essential oil scans, Hope Higbie with Kundalini yoga and stress reduction, Jenn Moore with information about the Front Porches half marathon, DragonFlies Embroidery, and more. Many of these local businesses will be offering attendees the chance to participate in free workshops throughout the day.
If you have kids, bring them along. There will be a fire truck, face painting, tire flips, tug of war and treats!
The best part? One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit a local animal shelter. “I love all animals, dogs in particular,” said Dumont. “The WCHS helps stray, abandoned, neglected and surrendered pet by giving them a second chance at a healthy, happy life. After all they are man’s best friend. Wouldn’t you agree?”
Dumont, who has over 30 years of experience in the fitness industry, is excited to show off her boot camp and support a great cause. “This is fitness with a purpose,” she says. “Westminster Fit Body Boot Camp is my vehicle for change and drives my passion to support as many people as possible in making their self-care a priority, not only for themselves, but for future generations.” Healthy people make a healthy peaceful planet.”
