With Election Day on the horizon, it’s time to motivate friends and neighbors to exercise their right to vote, either by absentee ballot or at the polls on Nov. 6. When it comes to having a strong voice in the Vermont House, I plan to cast my ballot to re-elect Rep. Annmarie Christensen, who has ably represented Cavendish and Weathersfield and would like to continue to serve her constituents.
One of my main concerns is quality health services for all, not just for those who can afford it. Vermonters need and deserve uniform health care, which was a national rallying cry in the last presidential election. No matter what political party a person supports, I think we can all agree that health care is not a privilege; it is a right. Annmarie Christensen serves on the Vermont House Health Care Committee and will make sure that the message is heard: reduce prescription drug costs, ensure access to mental health treatment, and bring affordable health care to all Vermonters.
A vote for Annmarie on Nov. 6 will allow her work on these important legislative issues to continue. A vote for Annmarie Christensen is a vote for positive change.
