American Legion Post #37 installs officers

BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. – American Legion Post #37, held their nominations and voted in their “new officers” for 2017-18. The American Legion is an organization of veterans and families from all walks of life, serving those that had serve our country during periods of war and peace. Bellows Falls Post #37 reaches out to our veterans from the Rockingham, Vt. and North Walpole region. Newly appointed officers include; Ernest ‘SMOKEY’ Aumand as Commander, Todd Novak as 1st Vice Cmdr. and Children and Youth (Halloween / Christmas), Linda Perham as Adjutant, Richard Boucher as Finance Officer, William ‘TJ’ Smith as Service Officer, Richard Landry – Sgt.-At-Arms, Carol Spaulding – Chaplain, Doug Roberts – Historian and Scholarships, and Kevin Vancor – as our Athletic Officer (Legion Baseball).

Outgoing Commander – Gerry Barbary, Commander Smokey Aumand, Ernest ‘Turk Aumand’ – Became a member in 1947, and Ric Aumand of the ‘Sons of the American Legion.’
