SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Grab the family, and head for the biggest book sale in Springfield, held this year July 13 and 14 at the National Guard Armory on Fairground Road in North Springfield, Vt. On Friday, July 13, the doors open at 10 a.m. and stay open until 6 p.m.; Saturday, July 14, begin at 8 a.m. and say goodbye at 4 p.m. Saturdays, smart shoppers linger until 2 p.m. for the bag sale – pack as many books as you can into a brown paper shopping bag for an incredible low price.
Friends of the Springfield Town Library have been sorting books for weeks. That’s good news for lovers of memoir, mysteries, mirth, or magic – find everything you’re looking for on one table. Springfield children who signed up for the summer reading program at the library have a free coupon for a children’s book at the sale – and honestly, the prices mean everyone can afford these titles.
Thanks for your support, Springfield, and thanks for sharing books with everyone at this book sale. Funds raised pay for library programs for children and adults, fancy equipment like the new automatic external defibrillator, and luxuries like new slip covers for the library chairs. The Springfield Town Library is located at 43 Main Street, Springfield, Vt. All programs are free and open to the public.
